Cathy Chase has spent her career teaching immigrants to write and speak English. Her lifelong interest has been in getting to know people from around the world and how we all achieve the necessities in life such as love, family, happiness, and overcoming adversity. She also volunteers at a homeless shelter and a rehabilitation complex for homeless families. This relationship has introduced her to many of the varied causes and consequences of mental illness. Additionally, Cathy has published a young adult book focused on surviving childhood domestic abuse called JUMP.
